The Lead Consultant performs activities aimed at improving database performance and efficiency. The individual provides trending data on and makes recommendations for performance issues for application and database environments, ensuring stability, and providing evaluation of new or changed products.

Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is $98,100.00 - $140,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e., commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.

The Lead Consultant performs activities aimed at improving database performance and efficiency. The individual provides trending data on and makes recommendations for performance issues for application and database environments, ensuring stability, and providing evaluation of new or changed products.
SQL Server DBA Key Responsibilities:
- Database Management:
- Administer, monitor, and maintain MS SQL Server and Mongodb or Oracle or PostgreSQL databases.
- Implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Optimize database performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Security & Compliance:
- Enforce database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.
- Implement and manage user access and roles to ensure compliance with security policies.
- Collaboration:
- Work with development teams to design and implement database solutions that support application requirements.
- Collaborate with IT teams in managing database changes and upgrades.
- Monitoring & Reporting:
- Set up and utilize monitoring tools to track database performance and address bottlenecks.
- Generate reports on system performance, availability, and other relevant metrics.
- Proactive Maintenance:
- Perform routine database maintenance tasks, including patching and updates for both MS SQL Server and Mongodb or Oracle Or Postgresql.
- Evaluate and recommend improvements for database architecture and software tools.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of experience in database administration, specifically with MS SQL Server and Mongodb or Oracle Or Postgresql.
- Strong knowledge of database backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in聽Oracle聽database management, including聽Oracle RAC聽and聽Data Guard.
- Experience with聽MongoDB/SQL Server/Postgresql deployment and management tools.
- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and best practices.
- Knowledge of聽agility tools聽such as聽Version1.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems such as聽ServiceNow.
- Experience with聽Datadog聽monitoring.
- Cloud-based database administration experience with聽Azure聽or聽Amazon AWS.
- Familiarity with聽ITIL聽practices.
- Proficiency in聽Python聽and聽PowerShell聽scripting.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Oracle DBA Key Responsibilities:
- Database Administration:
- Manage, monitor, and maintain聽Oracle聽and聽MongoDB or SQL Server or PostgreSQL聽databases to ensure high availability and performance.
- Configure and optimize database parameters in accordance with best practices.
- Backup and Recovery:
- Design and implement comprehensive database backup and recovery strategies for both聽Oracle聽and聽MongoDB/SQL Server/Postgresql.
- Conduct regular disaster recovery drills to ensure the effectiveness of backup strategies.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement stringent security measures to protect sensitive data across both database platforms.
- Manage user access, roles, and permissions to comply with organizational policies.
- Performance Tuning:
- Analyze and optimize database queries, indexing, and overall performance.
- Monitor database performance metrics and address identified bottlenecks.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with application development teams to support database-related application needs.
- Assist in schema design, data modeling, and database migrations.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain thorough documentation of database configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate reports on database performance, security, and compliance.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 5-7 years of DBA experience with a focus on聽Oracle聽and聽MongoDB/SQL Server/Postgresql.
- Extensive knowledge of聽Oracle SQL聽and聽PL/SQL, as well as聽MongoDB/SQL Server/Postgresql queries and aggregation framework.
- Technical Skills:
