Hamilton Re Promotes Hunt to SVP, Head of Property Insurance
Hamilton Insurance Group Ltd., the Bermuda-headquartered specialty insurance and reinsurance company, announced the appointment of Dwayne Hunt as senior vice president, head of Property Insurance at Hamilton Re, effectively immediately.
He succeeds Gavin Davis who will be leaving the organization.

Hunt brings 30 years of insurance industry experience to his new role leading Hamilton Re’s property insurance business and team. He joined Hamilton five years ago from Neon where he was senior vice president, Property Insurance.
Prior to that, he held senior underwriting roles in property insurance at ACE (now Chubb) and Arch. He began his insurance career as a broker with Johnson and Higgins before joining XL (now AXA XL) where he got his start in underwriting.

MGA Arrow Launches Professional Indemnity Practice, Naming Cox as Class Underwriter
Arrow Risk Management, the London-based specialist MGA underwriting platform, announced the launch of an International Professional Indemnity practice and the appointment of Nick Cox as Class Underwriter.

The practice, which forms part of Arrow’s wider Financial and Professional Lines portfolio, will develop a well-balanced book of PI business across the UK and international markets. Maintaining a clear risk appetite, key sectors will include design and construct, intermediaries, and surveyors, as well as architects, engineers and solicitors. The practice is supported by A-rated capacity from a panel of leading Lloyd’s syndicates.
Cox is a prominent figure in the sector with a deep technical knowledge based on more than 35 years of experience in the London PI market. Most recently, he was class underwriter for WRB Underwriting having joined the company in 2005. He also has held underwriting roles at CNA Re and Chubb. Cox has been a prominent figure within the IUA’s Professional Indemnity Forum.
Business will be written on the Arrow MGA platform, taking advantage of its best-in-class operational services and carrier data provision.
