Compensation offered for this role is 70,100.00 - 121,475.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities听
Manage all aspects of insurance defense litigation from case听inception听to verdict, including initial case assessment, discovery, depositions, motion practice, pre-trial negotiations, courtroom advocacy, and post-trial motions to ensure favorable outcomes for clients.听
Gather and organize documents, evidence, and legal听research for听cases, including preparation for hearings, trials, arbitrations, mediations, and depositions.听
Conduct legal research on relevant laws, regulations, and case precedents; prepare summaries and reports.听
Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and other legal documents.听
Interview clients and witnesses, as well as drafting summaries of their statements and maintaining communication records.听
Attend court hearings, depositions, and other legal proceedings to听observe听and听assist听as needed; may听represent听the company or clients in routine matters.听
Monitor changes in laws and听regulations, and听assist in updating the legal team on potential impacts to ongoing cases.听
Participate in training sessions and mentorship programs to develop legal skills and gain exposure to more complex legal work.听

Education听
Juris Doctorate and active membership in good standing with the听California State Bar.听
听
Minimum听Requirements听
Successful completion of courses focused on legal research, writing, and analysis,听demonstrating听the ability to conduct thorough legal research and draft clear, well-structured legal documents.听
Demonstrates strong time management skills, effectively balancing multiple tasks and deadlines.听
Capable of organizing case files, managing legal documents, and understanding the discovery process.听
Skilled in communicating with clients, preparing summaries, and听maintaining听records of interactions.听
Well-versed in legal ethics and the standards of professional conduct.听
Equipped with fundamental negotiation techniques and strategies for client interactions and settlement discussions.听
Must be听commutable听distance to courthouses throughout Northern California.
